Our property offers a range of flexible, fully equipped spaces ideal for workshops, retreats, and team events — all air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled, and configurable, with audio capabilities and microphones for presentations and group facilitation.
Large Main Room Event Space – 167 m²

Spacious and versatile, accommodating up to 30 participants in multiple layouts (boardroom, classroom, U-shape, or relaxed lounge-style). Perfect for meetings, training sessions, and presentations.
Separate Breakout Flat – 111 m²

A fully self-contained space featuring a full kitchen, private bathroom, and comfortable lounge area — ideal for smaller breakout groups, quiet reflection, or private coaching sessions.
Art Studio – 35 m²

Completed in 2025, this purpose-built creative space includes a kitchenette and full bathroom, making it ideal for hands-on workshops, brainstorming, or wellness activities such as art, mindfulness, and team-building.
Expansive verandas and rainforest gardens provide additional breakout zones and tranquil outdoor settings for discussions, morning tea, or group activities.
Facilitation Support
To ensure your event runs seamlessly, we can provide access to three trained facilitators with a combined 90+ years of leadership experience across industries including Science & Technology and Medical Research. Their expertise spans corporate training, team-building, and creative collaboration, supporting event coordination, group dynamics, and structured workshop delivery.
Engaging independent facilitators brings distinct advantages: neutrality, objectivity, and a safe space for open conversation. Leaders can fully participate instead of managing the session, while teams benefit from fresh energy, proven frameworks, and creative exercises that foster collaboration, insight, and growth.
Catering Options
We offer a complete range of in-house catering services — from light refreshments and morning or afternoon tea to fully serviced breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
Our menus highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and can be customised for your group’s preferences, dietary requirements, or event theme. Gourmet grazing platters, barista coffee, and evening cocktails are also available to enhance your retreat experience.
Event Expertise
The Country House at Hunchy / Montville is highly experienced in designing and delivering memorable, one-of-a-kind corporate and group events — from executive dinners and themed celebrations to Murder Mystery evenings, karaoke nights, and wine, beer, or spirits tastings.
Each experience is bespoke and purpose-driven, tailored to your organisation’s goals, team profile, and event tone.
Our Murder Mystery events are fully immersive and professionally hosted, with customised scripts, character guides, and Sunshine Coast–inspired storytelling that blend sophistication, fun, and theatre — keeping your team engaged, laughing, and connecting long after the final reveal.
Event Enhancements & Branded Touches
We offer in-house creative and design services to produce bespoke branded keepsakes such as custom mugs, stainless-steel water bottles, keychains, and other personalised items. These can be tailored to your organisation’s branding or event theme, giving participants high-quality, take-home mementos that extend the experience beyond the day itself.
We can also arrange professional transportation to and from the event, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for your team. (Available at an additional cost — quotes available on request.)
